Mrs. Modesta Adamson's Obituary
Graveside Service for Mrs. Modesta Adamson, 87, of Alexander City, will be Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the Hillview Memorial Park. Dr. Matt Haines will officiate.
Mrs. Adamson passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Chapmans Nursing Home. She was born on April 21, 1930 in Alexander City, Alabama to Maynard McClellan and Ada McClellan. She was an active member of Sixth Street Baptist Church. She was a kind, gentle, loving person that everyone loved. She worked for 45 years at Russell Corp. as a spinner.
She is survived by her sister, Jane Pike; brother, Don McClellan (Linda) all of Alexander City; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dean Adamson; her parents; sisters, Bessie Kitchens, Inez Forbus, and Lorine Ray; brothers, Rudolph McClellan, Harold McClellan, James McClellan, and Billy Wayne McClellan.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers that memorial contributions be made to the Building Fund of Sixth Street Baptist Church, 2324 Sixth Street Ext., Alexander City, AL 35010.
