Mr. James Franklin Foy's Obituary
Funeral service for James Franklin Foy, 77, of Alexander City, will be Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at First United Methodist Church. \r\n\r\nMr. Foy passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at his residence. He was born on February 20, 1936 in Alexander City, Alabama to the late James Emerson Foy and Mattye Thornell Foy. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.\r\n\r\nMr. Foy was a graduate of Benjamin Russell High School and Auburn University. He worked for Russell Corporation for 43 years and was the Vice President of Dyeing and Finishing.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lucy Thomley Foy of Alexander City; daughter, Jane Foy Crenshaw (Marshall), of Nashville, TN; son, James Sollie Foy (Susan), of Alexander City; grandchildren, Kyle Foy, Kathryn Foy, Blythe Brock, Anna Lee Crenshaw, Carolyn Crenshaw, Mattie Crenshaw, Lucy Crenshaw and John Franklin Crenshaw; brother-in-law, Tom Thomley of Memphis, TN.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to Ronald McDonald House of West Georgia, 1959 Hamilton Road, Columbus, Ga. 31904, Ronald McDonald House of Birmingham, 1700 4th Avenue South, Birmingham, AL. 35233 or charity of one’s choice.
