    Mr. Terry Wayne Pemberton

    April 9, 1957 - June 1, 2022

    Mr. Terry Wayne Pemberton, 65, of Alexander City, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at his residence. He was born on April 9, 1957 in Columbus, Georgia to Emmett Wayne "Hub" Pemberton and Sara Evelyn Allen Marable. Terry was a graduate of Kendrick High School and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Columbus College. He had served as the Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of America. He was recognized as a Distinguished member of the Academy of Boys and Girls Club Professionals. He had been an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Alexander City. Terry played baseball for the Kendrick Cherokees, and the Columbus, Georgia Cubs in the men’s recreational league. He loved the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves. Terry was an avid golfer, and baseball fan. He is survived by his son, Seth Wayne Pemberton of Saraland, Alabama; daughter, Karson Leigh Pemberton of Saraland, Alabama; sister, Cindy Leigh Tucker of Plano, Texas; and brother, Jimmy Edward Joiner (Eva) of San Antonio, Texas. His Aunt Kaye Allen Kyle and Uncle Paul Allen (Kathy) of Columbus, Georgia, Uncle Mike Pemberton (Jan) of Macon, Georgia and Uncle Terry Pemberton (Barbara) of Rainier, Washington. Niece Amanda Brooke Reichle (Kevin) of Austin, Texas and Nephew Jason Joiner (Katherine) of Manchaca, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandmothers, Paralee “Ma Pat” Pemberton and Sarah Agnes Allen. His grandfathers Emmett L. Pemberton and Hugh Ace Allen. Uncle William “Bill” Pemberton, Uncle Donald “Don” Pemberton, and Uncle James “Jimmy” Elton Allen. Aunt Vivian Allen Adams, Aunt Marianne Allen Pierce, and Aunt Luellen Allen Tomblin. The family would like to send a special thanks to Larry Salyer, Woody O’Dell, Ronnie Cooper and Jeff Branham for their life long friendship and loving support.
