Mrs. Sue Phillips Butler

July 7, 1945 - June 18, 2022

A Celebration of Life for Sue Phillips Butler, 76, will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 11:00 am at Orr Street Baptist Church. Rev. Turk Holt and Chaplain Mark Grizzard will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home. Mrs. Sue passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 18, 2022. Born in Alexander City, AL, on July 7, 1945, Sue worked 37 years in accounting for Russell Corporation. She loved Jesus and was a member of Orr Street Baptist Church. As a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she put everyone before herself, especially her grandchildren. Baking and flower gardening were two hobbies she enjoyed outside of spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Terry Butler of Alexander City; sons, Stephan Butler (Kimberly) of Louisville, KY and Jaime Butler (Paige) of Wetumpka; three grandchildren, Claire Butler, Jackson Butler, and Parker Butler; brothers, Jimmy Phillips (Judy) of New Site and Perry Phillips (Teresa) of Lillian; and sisters-in-law, Brenda Forehand, Teena Blythe, and Patty Oliver (Fred). She was preceded in death by her parents James and Louise Phillips. The family will accept flowers or memorial donations may be made to Orr Street Baptist Church, 939 O St. Alexander City, AL 35010.
