Mr. Sidney M. Lewis

Graveside Memorial Service for Mr. Sidney M. Lewis, 78, of Alexander City, will be Friday, June 24, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Hillview Memorial Park with Randy Anderson officiating. Mr. Lewis passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Russell Medical. He was born on March 27, 1944 in Daviston, Alabama to Reuben Lewis and Gladys Claybrook Lewis. Mr. Lewis owned and operated Lewis Trucking Company for 30 years. He loved restoring old cars and going to car shows. He was an avid Alabama football fan and loved NASCAR also. He loved his family very much, especially his three grandchildren. He is survived by his former wife and lifelong companion of 59 years, Gail Bonner Lewis; son, Damon Lewis (Kathy); grandchildren, Clayton "Red" Lewis, Chandler Lewis and Kate Lewis; sister, Joyce Arsenault; brother, Charles Lewis (Pat); and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Lewis.
