Mrs. Linda W. Forbus

Funeral Service for Mrs. Linda W. Forbus, 75, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Randy Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rocky Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Radney Funeral Home. Mrs. Forbus passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at her residence. She was born on February 22, 1947, in Alexander City, Alabama to Otis Chalmus Woodruff and Sara Pauline Blake Duncan. She attended Elkahatchee Baptist Church. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great - grandmother and sister who loved her family dearly. She and her husband served as foster parents for many years and cherished each and every child whose lives they touched. They received the honor of Foster Parents of the Year in 1987. Her hobbies included drawing, reading, and watching Gunsmoke and Chef Gordon Ramsay. She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly B. Lamb (Jim), Nancy J. McGouyrk (Jimmy), Sara B. Askew (Kyle), Leigh Anne Caldwell (Cam); grandchildren, Hillary Rehr, Patrick Dillon Mann, Shayne Jordan Bence, Elise "Gabby" Gabrielle Lamb, Niki Harris, Dex Jones, Will McGouyrk, Joshua Patterson, Alli Price, Cameron Caldwell, Andrew Caldwell; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Cheryl Woodruff Braden "Jerome", Tina Woodruff Tapley, Donna Duncan; nieces, Stella Montgomery, Christina Tapley Sapp and Elizabeth Tapley. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Edwin Lynn Forbus; parents; grandson, Jordan Bence; son-in-law, Jim Lamb.
