Memorial Service for Ms. Kay Yates Swafford, 63, of Alexander City, will be Monday, March 28, 2022 at 6:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Roger Green will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 28, 2022 from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home. Ms. Swafford passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at her residence. She was born on April 14, 1958 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to James Thomas Yates and Allene Hutcherson Yates. Kay worked at Russell Corporation for several years. She enjoyed talking, and socializing and hanging out with her friends and family. Kay is survived by her daughter, Jessica Morgan (Matthew); grandchildren, Karmel Grace Sweat, Allene Sweat, Aedan Morgan, Abbygail Morgan and Martin Thomas Sweat, Jr.; brothers, James Jerry Yates (Sharon), Tommy Yates (Vickie) and Randy Yates (Regina); and sister, Judy Carol Smith (Eddie). She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Martin Thomas Sweat; sister, Bonnie Yates; and brothers, Jeffrey Yates and Johnny Yates.
