Mr. Junior Nae Sims

Funeral Service for Junior Nae Sims, 74, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Sunday, February 13, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Sims will officiate. Burial will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home. Junior passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at his residence. He was born on April 6, 1947 in Dadeville, Alabama to Barney Nae Sims and Maggie Loyette Prather sims. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them and was loving known as “Paw Paw” by the grandchildren. Junior was retired from Russell Corp. after 26 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. Junior loved his dogs as well. He is survived by his daughters, Donna Gail Hill of Ringgold, GA and Charlotte Ann Howard (James) of Alexander City, AL; sons, Junior Lee Sims and Tony Lynn Sims both of Alexander City, AL; ten grandchildren; fourteen Great-Grandchildren; brother, Roger Sims (Darlene); aunt, Margaret Holmes (Johnny); cousin, Amos Bolan (Joyce); and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maggie Loyette Moncus; father, Barney Nae Sims; sister, Daisy Mae McDaniel; brothers, Willie Jay Sims, Roy Lee Sims, GW Sims, and Albert Lee Sims.
