Funeral Service for Mr. John F. “Mule Man” Kendrick, 80, of Hackneyville, will be Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 11:00 am at the God's House Church in Hackneyville. Rev. Roger Green, Rev. Bob Lee and Rev. Scott Railey will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hackneyville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at God's House Church. Mr. Kendrick passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Russell Medical. He was born on July 19, 1941 in Chambers County, Alabama to Charlie Webster Kendrick and Fannie Jewell Worthy Kendrick. He was an active member of God's House Church and loved his church dearly. John was a hard worker and loved working on his farm. He always plowed his garden with his mule, Joe. He was a dedicated heavy equipment operator for the City of Alexander City for 25 years and retired as Equipment Foreman. He also served in the U.S. Army, was honorably discharged in 1970 and was a member of The League of the South. John was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy Ann Kendrick of Hackneyville; sons, Marty Kendrick (Tracy) of Hackneyville and Mitch Kendrick (Tina) of Hackneyville; grandchildren, Patrick Kendrick of Hackneyville, Kenny Probst of Alexander City and Alex Booker (Caitlin) of Auburn; sister, Margie Adams of LaFayette; brother, Danny Kendrick (Sandy) of Five Points; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to God's House Church, 9234 Highway 63 North, Alexander City, AL 35010.
