Mr. Joe Monroe Bassett

Graveside Service for Mr. Joe Monroe Bassett, 86, of Sylacauga, Alabama will be Friday, April 1, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Bay Pine Baptist Cemetery. Pastor Ronnie Snyder will officiate. Mr. Bassett passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at his residence. He was born on November 16, 1935 in Sylacauga, Alabama to Dorsey Bassett and Selene White Bassett. Mr. Bassett loved his family dearly. He was a United States Army Korean War veteran. Mr. Bassett enjoyed spending time on Lake Martin, eating and cookouts, the simple things in life, and spending time with his dog, Bandit. He is survived by his daughters, Cindi Todd and Cynthia J. White (Steven); son, Joseph D. Garner; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Jo A. Bassett; daughter, Tracy Garner; son, Mark Carver; grandson, Joey Garner Jr.; and parents, Selene Blackerby and Dorsey Bassett.
