    Mrs. JoAnn Smith

    May 19, 1940 - December 14, 2021

    Mrs. JoAnn Smith, 81, of Alexander City passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery. She was born on May 19, 1940 in Alexander City, Alabama to Woodrow Wilson Gray and Iona Brown Gray. She loved to travel with her husband. She loved Auburn football. Above all, she loved her family and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Blair (Gene), Lisa Bishop (Roger), Catherine Bland (Dan) all of Alexander City, and Lori Woodfin (Lantz) of Rockford; son, William W. Smith, Jr. (Deborah Matthews) of Prattville; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William “Bill” Smith; great-grandchild, Denah Bishop. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
