Mr. David Lee Norrell Sr.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. David Lee Norrell, Sr., 48, of New Site, will be Monday, May 23, 2022 at 11:00 am at Church of the Highlands (Auburn Campus), 2001 E. Samford Avenue, Auburn, AL 36830, with Pastor Kevin Haefner officiating. Mr. Norrell passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham. He was born on May 19, 1974 in Opelika, Alabama to Manuel Norrell and Judy Bass Norrell. David was a faithful and active member of Church of the Highlands (Opelika Campus). David loved the Lord and was not ashamed to share his faith. He was a lineman and worked for Troy Cable and had worked for Charter Communications. David enjoyed hiking, cutting grass and going to the beach with his family. He had a contagious smile and enjoyed being with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Norrell of New Site; daughter, Rebecca Norrell of Alexander City; son, David Lee Norrell, Jr. of Alexander City; daughters, Linley Henry and Emma Henry, both of New Site; parents, Manuel and Judy Norrell of Dadeville; sister, Cindy Beatty (Sloan) of Birmingham; brother, Tim Norrell (Kim) of Rockford; nieces, Cariann, Camille, and Jacie; and father-in-law, Larry Michael Rice of Roanoke. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leggon and Mary Bass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Church of the Highlands, Attn.
