A Memorial Service for Mr. David Gordon, 76, of Alexander City, will be Sunday, August 23, 2020 at 3:00 pm at the Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Cowhick will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 23, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home. Mr. Gordon passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at his home in Alexander City. He was born on October 9, 1943 in Alexander City, Alabama to Grant Gordon and Mavis Yarbrough Bailey. He was a lover of cars, and avid Alabama Football fan, and a devoted supporter of the Trump Presidency. In his younger days Mr. Gordon enjoyed water skiing on the lake, fishing, tennis and playing golf. He was member of Alex City Methodist Church. Mr. David treasured his time spent with his grand and great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family and his dog Gizmo. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nickie Gordon; daughters, Wendy Gordon Tate (Mark) and Heather Patridge (Will); son, Scotty Gordon (Twila); grand children, Mallory Bunn (Phil), Zach Tate (Jena Lee), Chelsea Howard (Austin), Hallie Gordon, Hudson, Clara and Van Patridge; great grandchildren, Hadley Bunn, Henley Bunn, Jacob,Gaines and Danielle; sisters, Denise Ennis (Lavon), Anita Ray (Jerry) and Donna Gray (Terry); brothers, Gerald Jones (Ann) and Glenn Foster Gordon He was preceded in death by his mother, Mavis Bailey, and father, Grant Gordon Sr. Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneyfuneralhome.com.
