Funeral Service for Ms. Cindy Reed Thornton, 63, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Friday, September 10, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem-New Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Radney Funeral Home. Ms. Thornton passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Russell Medical. She was born on February 22, 1958 in Lafayette, Alabama to Charles Perryman Reed, Sr. and Ruby Taunton Reed. She was a volunteer office manager for ADAC Counseling Services for many years. Cindy was an excellent amateur photographer and enjoyed bird watching and doing crossword puzzles. She is survived by her sister, Patsy Johnston (Ricky) of Slidell, LA; brother, Perry Reed of Jacksons Gap; son, Charles Wayne Reed; and grandchildren, Emma Kate Everett, Tiffany Jordan, , Jillian Thornton, Hunter McCullars, and Briann McCullars She was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Ray Thornton, her parents, and a grandchild, Andrew Hunter Jordan. Masks or face coverings are required for all who attend the visitation or funeral service.
