Mr. Charles Nolen Cox

Funeral Service for Mr. Charles Nolen Cox, 70, of Hackneyville, Alabama, will be Monday, January 18, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Bro. Norman Strickling will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hackneyville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home. Mr. Cox passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Russell Medical. He was born on August 5, 1950 in Clay County, Alabama to Royden Cox and Odessa Strickling Cox. Mr. Cox loved his family dearly; especially his grandchildren. Mr. Cox had a strong work ethic and enjoyed working outdoors as a logger. He enjoyed fishing, being around others and gatherings, and he had a passion for Alabama Football. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Jean Cox; son, Mickey Nolen Cox; daughter, Shannon Jean Smith (Neal); grandchildren, Jake Smith (Kayla), Padan Smith, Erin Cox, and Gavin Cox; great-grandchild, Liam Smith; sister, Esther East (Richard), and brother, Otis Cox. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Royden Cox, Jr. The request is that everyone please wear a mask. All visitations and services will be held in compliance with the mandated rules from Alabama Dept of Public Health.
