Mrs. Billie Faye Jones

She passed away March 27,2022 at her residence. Billie Faye was born to the late William “Floyd” and Bessie Mae Weathers on April 4, 1938 in Talladega Alabama. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Radney Funeral Home from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Service will follow in the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home at 11:00 am. She married the love her life, Melvin Jones, in July of 1964 and was married to him for 38 years until he passed in 2002. Billie was a spinner at Russell Mills and retired after 25+ years of service. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to many. Billie enjoyed playing bingo, listening to old country music, and she never missed watching a game of Alabama football… but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and three favorite great-grandboys; Melvin, Michael and Wynn. She is survived by her daughter Patty Droddy; her grandson Ryan Droddy (Caroline); granddaughter, Heather Morales (Miguel); grandsons Melvin Miguel Morales, Michael Brandon Morales, and Wynn Collier Droddy all of Alexander City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Jones; son, Christopher Melvin Jones; parents William Floyd and Bessie Mae Weathers; and siblings, Jimmy Weathers, Dorothy Ann Weathers, and Betty Douglas. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you make donations payable to Radney Funeral Home, 1326 Dadeville Road, Alexander City, AL 35010. The family would like to extend a huge thank you to Billie Faye’s Encompass Hospice nurses that made her last days here on earth more comfortable.
