Helen hired me and really taught me so much about programming. She was very dedicated to her work and it made me want to do my work as well as she did. We became friends and she was the best. I truly admired her. — Princess Harper

So sorry for your loss. Helen was a very nice person and I know she will be missed by the many people who loved and cared for her.

I rode the school bus for years with the Floyds. I haven't seen Helen for some years and then it was at a reunion for several grades. My sympathies to all of the family!
On behalf of all former and many current ALDOT employees throughout the state of Alabama, we send our prayers and sympathy to Helen's family.

Helen and I walked every morning over two years. We both worked for the State of Alabama many years and enjoyed sharing our work experiences. Every April 27, on the Anniversary of the Tornado that hit Middle Road in 2011, when we lost our dear neighbor Martha Myers and her daughter Missy along with Candace and Cammie Abernathy on our road. We would meet around 7:30 P.M. and release balloons with their names on them. Helen and I did this faithfully every year. Ned joined us until he passed away.
On April 27, 2018 Helen and I released the balloons.
I will miss Helen and every April 27, I will be releasing the balloons and adding a new one with Helen's name on it.
We were neighbors for over twenty-five years and our sons Patrick and Lance were childhood friends and still are. I will miss you my friend.
