Doris Black
Community and Family Services Representative

Doris was born in Russell Medical Center and has lived in the Alexander City area most of her life. She is married to Eddie Black and both are active members of New Beginning Baptist Church.

Doris graduated from Hackneyville High School and has attended C.A.C.C. She received a certificate from the University of Alabama in the Study of Thanatology She is also a member of the American Academy of Bereavement and received a certificate as a Bereavement Facilitator.

Doris is the Family Service and Community Relations Representative. Her primary duties are working with families during the funeral planning stage and contacting and working with the families in an aftercare follow-up process. She is the facilitator for the H.O.P.E. grief support group and is responsible for planning and promoting community projects in the area.
